Pagos MCP Server: Talk to Your Payments Data

Ask your payments data questions in plain language and get instant answers. No more building custom dashboards or reports around complex payments data. Just ask, analyze, and optimize.

With the Pagos MCP Server, your payments team can query transaction data, analyze costs, spot trends, and troubleshoot issues using the AI chatbot they already prefer, whether that's Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI client.

What Can You Do With the Pagos MCP Server?

The Pagos MCP Server gives you conversational access to two powerful tools:

Query Your Payments Data

Ask questions about your business's transaction performance across all your payment processors in plain language:

  • "What's my authorization rate for Amex transactions this month?"

  • "Show me my top 5 decline reasons by volume"

  • "How much am I spending on interchange fees by processor?"

  • "Has my refund rate changed in the last 30 days?"

If you can pull the data in a custom chart in Pagos Insights, you can ask for it through your AI client!

Look Up BIN Data

Get instant answers about card identification and issuer information directly from the card networks:

  • "What bank issued BIN 414720?"

  • "Is BIN 535377 a credit or debit card?"

  • "Does this BIN support network tokenization?"

How to Get Started

Setting up the Pagos MCP Server takes just a few minutes. Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Connect Your Payment Processors to Pagos

First, you'll need a Pagos account with your payment processors connected. If you're already a Pagos customer, you're all set! Skip to Step 2!

If you're new to Pagos, sign up and connect your payment processors using our no-code integrations. Pagos will pull transaction data from each processor, harmonize it into a single, verified dataset that your AI client can query.

Step 2: Add the Pagos MCP Server to Your AI Client

In your preferred AI Client, connect to the Pagos MCP Server: https://mcp.pagos.ai/mcp

If you use Claude, set Pagos up as a new Connector. Prefer ChatGPT? Add Pagos as a new app in your account settings. To finalize setup, a window will open asking you to log into your Pagos account. Enter your credentials, then click Allow to grant your AI agent access to your payments data.

Step 3: Start Asking Questions

Now you can ask questions about your payments performance directly in your AI chat interface. Try questions like:

  • "What's driving my decline rate increase this week?"

  • "Compare my transaction success rates across Stripe and Adyen"

  • "Show me chargeback trends by dispute reason over the last quarter"

Your AI client will query your Pagos data and return answers in seconds!

What You Should Know

  • Your data stays private. The Pagos MCP Server doesn't share data across customers. You can only access your own payments data from your connected processors.

  • AI generates the recommendations, not Pagos. Pagos provides your harmonized payments data. Your AI client analyzes that data and generates interpretations, advice, and suggested next steps. Any recommendations come from your AI client, not Pagos.

  • New features are coming soon. Right now, you can't access Benchmarking or Alerts data through the MCP Server, but we're working on expanding capabilities!

Why This Matters

Payments teams are doing more with fewer resources. Every question used to require building a custom report or waiting on an analyst. Who has the time for that anymore?

The Pagos MCP Server eliminates any blockers between you and payments optimization. Your team can get instant answers, spot issues faster, and make data-driven decisions without leaving their AI chat interface. It's payments intelligence that keeps up with the speed of your business.
