Big news from the Pagos team: We’ve officially helped our clients optimize over 10 BILLION transaction events on our platform since we launched just under three and a half years ago. At this point in our development, we’re ingesting 185 real-time transaction events per second, and 35 million events per day through real-time, batch, and file-based data ingestion.
Those 10 billion events represent just over $800B in transaction volume across:
98 payment methods
241 issuer countries
148 currencies
12+ acquirers
100s of merchants across 5 continents
Without making any changes to their pre-existing payments stack, our growing portfolio of customers have turned to us for help optimizing and growing their operations. They send us their transaction events, and we provide the data visualizations and insights necessary to identify areas of improvement and estimate growth opportunities. And that’s not all! We also provide multiple services for further enriching their data to drive even better outcomes: selling more, improving customer experiences, and reducing cost of payments acceptance.
Pagos is quickly becoming the tool for the who’s who of ecommerce. Businesses like Adobe, Eventbrite, and LastPass are now making data-driven decisions in the payments space thanks to their partnerships with us. But we aren’t just helping individual businesses; we’re now also onboarding to our platform larger platforms like PPro and Wix that provide payment processing services to merchants!
Impressive Growth, More Impressive Outcomes
To put the 10 billion transaction events in context, almost exactly three years ago we announced our first 100 million transaction events. Fast forward to today, and we’ve increased our processed volume by 100x. This milestone is more than just a number; it’s a reflection of the pure horsepower behind the Pagos data engine and the amazing customer base we have—companies that leverage their payment data as a strategic asset, not just a cost center.
Every transaction event we ingest directly fuels the AI data models we build. Those models go on to provide actionable insights to our customers and partners, including but not limited to:
Expertly designed dashboards of harmonized payments data visualizations with built-in filtering capabilities,
Automated payments data monitoring and anomaly detection
In-context benchmarking, demonstrating how your payments performance stacks up against businesses like yours
Tools for enriching your data to drive better outcomes.
An AI-powered chatbot that provides real-time payments intelligence
The more data we process, the better we get at aggregating, harmonizing, and presenting data back to our customers. Given the sheer volume we’ve seen—10 billion, in case you forgot—we can confidently provide businesses with something no one’s ever given them before: a clean and actionable dataset of all their payments data, aggregated across data sources, and completely independent from their existing payments stack.
Such a data set makes it possible to not only benchmark against your peers as mentioned above, but establish benchmarks for yourself to monitor and act on over time. Are your metrics consistent? Are they trending up or down? Is that trend in line with a market trend or a response to changes you’ve made internally? Pagos customers answer these questions faster and with minimal work, meaning they get to the bottom of any issues before costs or revenue are impacted long term.
Doing It All With Pagos
Want to seamlessly stream that clean data set into your existing tech stack? We can do that. Interested in talking to an AI-powered chatbot about that data? We’ve got that covered, as well. When it comes to payments data, Pagos has it all.
We’ve built for scale from day one. Whether you want to visualize performance, uncover cost-saving potential, grow revenue, or experiment with operational changes, Pagos has the tools—and the data—to make it happen. One enterprise customer and early Pagos adopter recently said it all: "Pagos has been an absolute game changer for us. We have access to actionable data that we never could have had otherwise."
Next Stop? $1 Trillion!
