The Hardest Parts of Payments Analysis, Handled

Performing an in-depth payments analysis asks a lot of you. First, you need the data itself, aggregated from each of your payment service providers (PSPs) and harmonized into a single, usable dataset. Next, you need enough payments experience and industry knowledge to know which questions to ask and which issues to look for. Finally, you need time—both your own and that of other payments experts or your data team, to dig into the raw data in search of patterns and anomalies.
These are three pretty huge asks. So huge, in fact, that most businesses never try. Unless you run a large enterprise organization with a full payments team, you may have never considered it.
That's why we built Pagos AI, and why we're excited to announce its latest update. With Pagos, payments analysis and intelligence has never been more accessible than it is today—for businesses of all sizes.
More Data, One Conversation
Pagos has always done the unglamorous work of collecting transaction data from every processor you use and harmonizing it into one clean, AI-ready dataset. We also pull out what's important and present it back to you in usable dashboards. For example, our Opportunities page estimates how much you—with your existing setup and processing volume—could save by adopting network tokenization and alternative debit routing. The Retry Performance dashboard shows how well your existing retry efforts are working.
Pagos AI has always worked from that clean transaction data, and now it can also draw on the intelligence behind dashboards like Opportunities and Retry Performance. You can ask Pagos AI, "What decline code from an initial transaction has the highest success rate upon retry (year-to-date)?" and get a clear answer. Questions that used to mean jumping between pages, or that you couldn't answer at all, now take one conversation. Watch it in action:
Know Where to Look, Understand Why It Matters
Historically, catching payment processing issues early took significant expertise, infrastructure, and industry knowledge. Only after years in the trenches could a payments professional know which small changes are worth worrying about. To an expert, a new decline code or a slight dip in approvals is a warning sign. To everyone else, those changes look like noise until they get bad enough to show up on a quarterly report.
Pagos AI closes that gap in two ways. First, it helps you find even the smallest changes in your payments data. It can now handle side-by-side comparisons across time ranges, customer segments, and populations that used to take four spreadsheets and hours of someone's time. For example, you can now ask questions like "Which decline code from the last 7 days have I not seen this year to date?" or "Which of my BINs performed worse this month compared to the previous month?" and Pagos AI will pull the right data for each side of the comparison, calling out what's different and what's worth a closer look.
Second, Pagos AI brings a payments expert's knowledge to every answer. It's built by a team that's spent decades in payments, so it understands the changes it identifies. When it finds a decline code you haven't seen before, it can tell you what that code means and why it might be showing up. You get the early warning and the expertise to act on it, all in a plain-language conversation.
Real Analysis, Not Just Lookups
We rebuilt a lot under the hood for this update, including how Pagos AI breaks a complex question into steps and how precisely it understands your data before it starts answering. You won't see any of that directly, but you may notice an assistant that holds up on bigger jobs.
Data, expertise, and time used to belong to businesses with a full payments team. Every update to Pagos AI puts more of all three in reach for everyone else, and we're not done yet.
You don't need a payments team to ask payments questions. You just need Pagos.
